Hello, I'm Catalina Merino!

If you are reading this, it could be because you want to know more about me and my work as a fashion designer. So, first of all, let me try to introduce myself by showing you my portfolio.

For Autumn/Winter 2024-2025, I designed the whole knitwear for the Mini collections. I was the responsible for all the process from beginning to end: the selection of colors, qualities, inspiration, design and even receiving the samples to perform the fittings to give our adjustments to suppliers to review that everything was perfect.

For spring-summer 2024 I designed some casual collections and three swimwear collections. I design all kind of garments and accessories to complete the collection.

For spring-summer 2023 I designed one event collection, one chic collection, three swimwear collections and the loungewear collection. I design all kind of garments and accessories to complete the collection.

For autumn-winter 2022-2023 I designed the Christmas Collection, the event collection, one casual collection and an special sporty dress capsule collection. All includes different style of garments and the corresponding accessories to achieve the perfect look.

For spring-summer 2022 I designed four event collections and one chic collection. I design all kind of garments and accessories with a specialisation in woven garments.

For autumn-winter 2021-2022 I designed the Christmas Collection and day-to-day collections that include casual garments and the corresponding accessories to achieve the perfect look.

The summer 2021 collection is very special for me because it was the first collection that I designed for Mayoral. I was assigned to design the Tencel garments and sustainable cotton T-shirts.

From 2017 to 2020, I was a designer for El Corte Inglés in the EASY WEAR woven team. I was responsible of garments such as coats, blazers, shorts, trousers and event dresses.

On my free time during the COVID lockdown in 2020 and 2021, I started my own small accessories brand, focusing on XXL Scrunchies. I developed the brand through Instagram and Shopify and sewed all the products in my living room at home. You can explore more about this project at www.instagram.com/monmeribrand.

The most eye-shocking high heels!

MonMeri Heels are as nothing you have seen before. With a 15cm heel, 6cm platform and black glitter color together with the original scrunchy band you will impress anyone around you while wearing very comfortable but not classy heels.

Here my Fashion Capsule Collection for SS19 at Madrid Mercedes Benz Fashion Show. 

The Collection is three styles with three bags to complete the outfits behind the name Observados that took part in the catwalk of my university ESNE at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week SS19 - Young talents.

Collection inspired in the Mediterranean childhood.

This collection is a reinterpretation of the memories that a girl has living in a Mediterranean location. It's important to pay attention to the colours, the rustic fabrics and the simplicity of the garments.

​

This project starts with the job of inspiration, looking for trends and regardings. Follow with the design process to continue with the pattern maker activity and finish cutting fabrics to finally sew the garments.
